Two Day MBA: A Business Strategy Workshop

COURSE OBJECTIVES: The workshop is designed to provide an insight into the rationale behind long-term planning and to highlight key issues relating to the planning process and implementation of the agreed plan. Case studies will be used to provide examples of strategic plans that did not achieve the expected outcomes.


On completion of the course, participants will be able to:

WHO SHOULD ATTEND


As the content is relevant to, and impacts on, all parts of an organisation the workshop will be of interest to any manager, regardless of function, who has not previously received training in strategic management. A basic understanding of business finance is desirable but not essential.

Robert Britton has been involved in the design and delivery of management development programmes since 1994, following a career in retail and commercial banking. Specialising in finance training, he has run courses and seminars throughout the UK, western Europe and the Middle East for organisations in the corporate, banking and not-for-profit sectors. Programmes have also been delivered on strategic alliances, commercial awareness and operations management. Between 1997 and 2001 he was responsible for finance training at Ashorne Hill Management College, near Leamington Spa. Robert is a regular contributor to post-graduate programmes run by a number of leading UK academic institutions and an academic associate of the IFS School of Finance (formerly the Chartered Institute of Bankers), for which he has provided distance learning tuition and run revision workshops for banking students from many parts of the world.
