COURSE OBJECTIVES: This course provides an essential introduction to the concept of operational risk introduced by the Basel II Capital Accord and developed in the new Basel III Framework. The course will address the implications of the recent credit crunch and failures of banks but the focus throughout is on operational risk. Delegates will understand the "3 Pillar" approach of Basel II and will be given practical examples of operational risk- management techniques and how to create a risk-aware culture.
