COURSE OBJECTIVES: The City of London continues to maintain its position as a focal point for the world’s financial markets and is home to the UK’s Financial Services industry. We will attempt to de-mystify the jargon, discuss financial services providers, banks and the key financial markets and how they work.

Derek Taylor worked in the Midland Bank Treasury as an assistant director in charge of interbank trading in major currencies, specialising in £/$, the largest traded currency in the bank. He was involved in the development of their Asian and Pacific desk with responsibility for $/Yen.
