UK GAAP Update

Despite the move to IFRS for consolidated reporting by listed groups, the majority of UK statutory financial statements still use UK GAAP. This session examines all the major changes to UK accounting rules introduced in the last few years. It starts with FRS 20 (share-based payments) and looks at all the UK standards issued since then. Forthcoming changes, driven by IFRS convergence, are also examined.

IFRS Update

This session looks at the recent and expected changes to International Financial Reporting Standards. A number of new or amended standards are available for 2008 and compulsory for 2009. The process of EU adoption and the acceptance of IFRS in the USA are examined.
